For those who are tired of the same old wrap sandwiches, Roly Poly has something
for you – a selection of more than 50 sandwiches.
There’s an offering for everyone, including veggie lovers
and carb counters.
On the evening we tried the new restaurant, we opted for half orders in order
to try a sampling of the selections. Our choices included the Turkey Applejack,
the Chicken Popper, the Peachtree Melt and the Spinach Stuffer.
All four of these selections are grilled to a golden brown, but after trying
them one by one, we were glad to save the Chicken Popper for last because, with
a combo of chicken, light cream cheese, onion, tomato, jalapenos and fat free
dressing, it defiantly had a kick.
It wasn’t difficult to select our favorite – the turkey Applejack.
The wrap combined melted Monterey jack cheese, bacon, onion, mushrooms, basil
mayo and a hint of apple butter and was dipped in honey mustard dressing. The
sandwich was a warm, toasty wrap that could easily become my new comfort food.
The apple flavor was subtle, not overpowering, making this choice slightly different
from anything else I’ve ever had.
Our second favorite as the Spinach Stuffer, which featured melted Swiss and cheddar
cheeses, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, onion and cornbread stuffing. The ingredients
were well-balanced, just enough spinach and not too much cornbread stuffing.
The Peachtree Melt was probably the least favorite. The grilled
ham and cheese wrap which included melted Brie and Swiss cheese,
peaches and pepper relish – had
too much ham.
Overall, the selection will keep me coming back again and again – especially
to try the lower fat section of the menu.
